At ConocoPhillips, Talent Management Teams (TMTs) are responsible for providing a strategic, integrated and global/regional approach to the people strategies associated with a specific function/competency that are critical to business success.
TMTs conduct strategic workforce and competency assessment, identify and develop highest potential technical and leadership talent.
An employee’s career development is locally managed by the business unit, if it is not managed by a formal functional/technical TMT. The majority of employees are locally managed.
In China, the Leadership Team acts as the TMT for Chinese employees. They meet twice a year to review people development, cross functional assignments, succession plans and promotions.
