University Innovation Research Programs

ConocoPhillips China believes that education is the driving force of the future. 

And it is also vital for young professionals’ development to have sufficient practical experiences before their entry to society. In addition to enhancing access to elementary education, we have been deeply committed to supporting talent cultivation through a range of campus research and study activities in the past decade.

Our signature events include the “ConocoPhillips Cup” Industry Track of the 17th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction in 2024 and FUTURE Energy Innovation Research Program (FUTURE) in 2018-2019, through which we support promising graduate students at Chinese universities as they pursue research studies ranging from oil and gas technology to low carbon development and emission reduction solutions, as well as to build their innovation capabilities.

Another program, the China Environmental Stewardship Award (CESA) in 2013-2017, also provided financial assistance to promising graduate students and their academic advisors at Chinese universities for study, research and training in the fields of environmental protection, risk management and sustainable development.
