group photoIn China, many newborns with congenital heart disease (CHD) cannot receive timely treatment due to inability to afford medical care. Since 2008, ConocoPhillips China has cooperated with TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital (TICH) in Tianjin to initiate the Heart for Heart charity program to fund heart surgery for children who suffer from CHD and are from poverty-stricken families. Throughout the decades, we have donated more than RMB 20 million and proudly saved the lives of more than 730 children.

In 2017, ConocoPhillips China also donated an additional RMB 350,000 to TICH to purchase an inter-provincial medical screening van to improve the accessibility of CHD screening nationwide. The van has travelled over 40,000 kilometers across China, including to Gansu, Qinghai and other remote and high-altitude areas.
